The medical components of this project are housed primarily in the wings of the existing structure and include various medical offices, rehabilitation facilities, and a pharmacy.  Combined with the community atrium, a large grocery is proposed, allowing residents and the outside community would have a complete setting in which to interact and socialize.  Conversely, the site is located proximal to a wide range of retail stores and comprehensive public transportation; affording residents the ability to become part of the community at large.

Retrofitting and melding an existing structure with new construction to form a cohesive and successful retirement complex will encourage interaction with its residents and the Village of Sag Harbor.  The ADA accessible ramp is the centerpiece that bridges the old and new. It begins in the newly renovated factory, which is turned over to public activities, and terminates at the fitness center.  From this venue, residents can continue to their homes without ever having to go outside.
